NO CHILD DESERVES TO GO TO BED HUNGRY
Why? 56.9% of students in the Brown County school system qualify for free or reduced lunch. Students are provided breakfast and lunch at schools during the week but on weekends the family may struggle to provide healthy meals.
What? Youth who qualify for free lunch through the Brown County school system will receive a backpack filled with four healthy breakfast items, four lunch items, four dinner items and two snacks. This food may be shared with the family.
Who Qualifies? Children at participating schools currently on the free lunch program qualify for this program. Contact the school administration if you are interested in your child receiving a backpack.
Who is helping? Community volunteers and organizations are supporting this program. If you would like to help, the contact information is at the top of the website.
